Baby teeth begin to show by about six months of age and itís advised that children visit their dentist by the time they are one.

To keep baby teeth healthy brush them with a small toothbrush and water until child is two years of age, then you can begin using a pea-sized amount of flouride toothpaste on the toothbrush.

To make sure baby gums stay healthy to welcome good teeth, clean them with a clean cloth after feedings of milk, formula or food.

Children begin to lose their baby teeth around the age of six.

Once permanent teeth appear, Dr. Edwards may apply sealants to help prevent tooth decay.
